Weekend Heatwaves, Glasto-mania, and Festival Chic
So apparently Britain is supposed to be hotter than Istanbul this weekend, with temperatures set to reach a whopping 28 degrees in London!
This is very good news for all of us (except, maybe too little too late for all those Glastonbury revelers who have already been drowned in mud!)
Talking of Glastonbury - can you believe that it has been an entire year since we last saw all of our favourite celebs donning their hunters and hot pants?
Neither can I! Still, as British festival season has now officially begun for the summer you are probably already fretting about what you should try and squeeze into that ever-expanding rucksack?
So Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you a simplified guide of whats hot for this summers festival season.
For all of you staying in the UK for your festival fun wellies are obviously obligatory as the weather is currently more unpredictable than Ryan Giggs love life! But what to wear with your wellies?
(L-R) Kate Moss, Dame Shirley Bassey, Pixie Lott, and a festival-goer at this years Isle of Wight Festival
Hot pants are always a festival staple amongst celebs, but you could also opt for a ditsy floral dress and with some colour pop wellies and incorporate two of this seasons hottest trends in one! Alternatively you could even make like Dame Shirley Bassey and pair a personalised pair of hunters with a glamorous sequin evening gown!
And if you are lucky enough to be going to one of the many European festivals abroad (where lets face it the weather is probably going to be better) take inspiration for these bronzed beauties at Coachella back in April for your summer holiday inspired festi-style.
Key purchases include Maxi dresses, wide leg palazzo pants, broderie anglaise sun dresses, and cropped t shirts with high-waisted shorts such as those seen here on Eliza Doolittle.
(L-R) Vanessa Hudgens, Whitney Port, Tali Lennox, and Eliza Doolittle
So now you know what to wear all you need to remember to pack now is your tent, wet wipes and sun cream (if your feeling optimistic) and away you go! Wishing you all a wonderful (and warm!) weekend :)
