We All Scream for Ice Cream!

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

So it looks like this Easter Bank Holiday is set to be a scorcher! Yay!

Besides plenty of barbecues and obligatory Pimms we bet everyone will be tucking into their fair share of ice cream... So what better way to enjoy the summer sun than with a delicious injection of ice cream coloured style. Pistachio, lemon, strawberry, melon, coral and lilac shades were seen all over the SS11 shows by designers such as Cacharel, Philip Lim, Matthew Williamson and Elie Saab.

(From L-R): Cacharel, Philip Lim, Alexander Wang, Matthew Williamson, Halston, and Elie Saab

And you can purchase your very own ice cream shaded frocks exclusively from

(From L-R) Frilled One Shoulder Dress £34, Maxi Dress in the style of Jessica Alba £55, Gathered Strap Dress £28, Party Perfect Tiered Dress NOW £20, Pleated Chiffon One Shoulder Dress £34.

Punchier than pastels, but not as hard to wear as fluoro shades, this colour palette is perfect for spring/summer weddings as they suit pretty much any skin tone, and you don’t have to be a bronzed goddess to pull them off! (Always a bonus)

The only other essential you’ll need for this bank holiday scorcher is a bang on trend hat. As you can see, a lot of our favourite celebs have gone hat crazy of late! So take your pick out of these fab new styles, including floppy wide brim, straw fedora, and a gorge striped Prada number, as seen on Nicole Ritchie in this month’s Harpers Bazaar. They’re not just for fashion purposes you know – no one wants a burnt head!

(From L-R): Nicole Ritchie, Tika Sumpter, Fearne Cotton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

That’s all from me for this week - have a wonderful long Easter Weekend whatever you are doing and don’t forget to soak up that sun (while it lasts!)

Happy Thursday!
