The trend? Look of the Week? Style Tips!

This week I would like to start off with my Look of the Week - I saw this dress and I fell in love... the colour, the style, the classic designer and the complete look! It is simply lovely... My look of the week goes to Frieda Pinto in Oscar De la Renta: As mentioned last week, the trend is all about popping colours and this is a perfect example - the style is elegant and classic, yet adds a bit of an edge with the colour and really makes her stand out from the crowd :) Remember with a loud colour, you want to keep your accessories simple and low key in colour... Along with popping colour, ruffles are also huge this summer! Be it bags, ankle socks (another summer trend!), shirts, skirts, dresses or shoes - ruffles are what it's all about :) Dress them up in an evening dress or dress them down in flats and roll up shorts. They're great for hiding lumps and bumps :D

 As with colour popping, you don't want to overdo the ruffles - either wear a ruffled item of clothing OR an accessory. Never both... we want flirty, not doily :) Ankle socks are also very popular this season - wear them with frills or sparkles and in any colour you want :) - just take a look at Florence and Rhianna :)
