London Fashion Week has landed!
So last week was the turn of New York, but this week has seen our favourite celebrities and fashionistas don their very best attire as Fashion Week took London by storm. There were some standout shows from some our very best home-grown talent; including Christopher Kane, Holly Fulton, and Peter Jensen as well as British institutions like Giles and Mulberry who continued to pull out all the stops to deliver some jaw-dropping SS2012 offerings.
Common trends to emerge from the shows include 60s chic as seen in Richard Nicoll and Christopher Kanes collections, which showcased a dreamy selection of soft pastel-toned pieces using a variety of girly silhouettes, from baby-doll to simple shifts.

If youre after something a bit more edgy, other highlights include David Komas Sci-Fi Tribal collection of laser cut bodycon and print styles, and Giles' fierce Silver Swan inspired pieces which featured a visual assault of metallic leather and blood red accents combined with exquisite laser cut and tassel detailing.

Print is also set to be a huge theme for next Spring I was particularly impressed by Peter Pilottos tropical themed prints, as well as Holly Fultons outlandish seaside themed collection which was based around the idea of a woman who blows her vacation budget on clothes, and so instead of heading to Saint-Tropez, goes to the tacky English resort town of Margate.
As is to be expected, Mulberry drew in one of the most star studded front rows of the week, with the likes of Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart rubbing shoulders with Olivia Palermo, Erin OConnor and Eliza Doolittle. In fact Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart were rumoured to get on like a house on fire as seen in the pictures below:

To compliment the cutesy, English-seaside themed collection the ballroom at Claridges was adorned with balloons, blow up animals, and model ice cream cones, with the next room decked out like an typical English Pier with I do like to be beside the seaside being blared out of the speakers.
