How to Style Floral Dresses
The warm and sunny season is dress season and we’re so happy with that. There is nothing like fresh floral dresses to colour your summer. Are they too casual? Not necessarily. A floral dress can be anything you want it to be, depending on how you style it. Here are a few tips on how to style floral print dresses:
Multicolour Floral Midi Dress (£23.00)
This is not the typical floral dress. It’s very stylish and yet still summery. It’s full of small and lovely details, such as buttons, a belt, frill straps and hem.
Try to style it in a way that can maintain both the elegant and the summer features – white high heel strappy sandals and our Ultra Mega Gemstone Rings (£56.00) would be a way to go. Each of these rings has a unique shape, colour intensity and size.
Leather handbags with adjustable straps to hear cross-body or on one shoulder like our Wine Leather Handbag (£28.00) also go very well with this dress.
To push on the elegant rather than casual side, replace the default belt of the dress with a brown or black leather belt.
Cream Floral Tunic (£55.00)
This is one of our most delicate long sleeve summer dresses, all made of chiffon with frill hem and sleeves. White or red high heel shoes will add a touch of sophistication to this gown which ends just above the knee. If high heeled shoes are not your cup of tea, don’t worry – flat shoes will look just as good.
To create contrast, style this dress with our Black Leather Handbag (£35.00) with a beautiful golden hummingbird keychain detail and our Black and White Loafers (£26.99) made of suede and faux leather – you will look playful and chick!
Blush Floral Maxi Dress (£65.00)
You don’t need many accessories to style this long sleeve maxi dress right. The shirred waistband and cuffs and the flirtatious plunging v-neckline will stand out and fill your look. Less is more when it comes to this dress – don’t overdo it. White trainers are a good option. If that’s too casual for you, try a delicate pair of strappy sandals instead.
Colourful summer accessories are the perfect matches for this maxi summer dress, like our Rose Gold Metal Sunglasses (£35.00) and our Grey Gemstone Necklace (£75.00)
Red Floral Midi Dress (£45.00)
This is the typical casual summer dress. The daisy print really calls for a walk in the park. White trainers or flat sandals are the footwear you will most commonly see with this kind of item.
However, even though this sundress is great for picnics, you can give everything and still be comfy with our Rose Glitter Platform Sandals (£30.00) and these Heart & Pearl Hoop Earrings (£7.95).
Black Floral Midi Dress (£35.00)
There’s nothing like a black dress. It looks classic, even with a floral print. The contrast of the cornflower print with the high neckline and high-low skirt makes this dress quite versatile – it’s the perfect effortless evening dress but becomes an everyday work dress with and white denim jacket.
