Mina has mentioned, that “From a young age, my mother's passion for fashion was evident. She would spend hours sketching designs, picking out fabrics, and creating beautiful garments that always turned heads. Despite facing numerous obstacles and setbacks, she never gave up on her dream of becoming a fashion designer.

My mother's dedication and perseverance in the face of adversity taught me the importance of chasing after what you love, even when it seems like the odds are against you. Her unwavering commitment to her craft and the joy she found in creating something beautiful left a lasting impression on me, igniting my own love for fashion.”

Next on the agenda is one of our in-house designers Akshi Shah-Joshi. Akshi not only wants to show appreciation to her mother for being an incredible mother bit also “I can't thank you enough for helping me be ME...”

Akshi’s acknowledgement for her mum is truly tear-jerking (get the tissues ready) “From treating me like a princess soaked in love from the very start,

You have pampered me with passion and immersed me in love with all your heart...
Being an artist yourself, you painted the most beautiful life for me I could have ever asked!
From being a mom, a tutor, an idol to a best friend you've beautifully been all giving it your all,
Always being there for me, far or near you were away just a call!
Arranging for me to take part in numerous art, music and fashion competitions wherever they may be,  
All to give me exposure, inspiration and inject competitiveness for me to strive as a professional in whatever I chose to be!”

Next, we have our Head Merchandiser, Lauren Khan. Lauren mentions that her mum “...Is a caring, nurturing, and loving woman who always puts her children & grandchildren first, even before herself. Her dedication to us knows no bounds, and she is always there for us, no matter what!”

Lauren notes how her mum has played a fundamental role not only in her life, but in also her 3 siblings lives as well, “My mum’s days were spent running around after her us, making sure we have everything we need to thrive. She is the one who wakes up early to prepare breakfast for us, packs our lunch, and ensures we are dressed and ready for school, in the correct uniform (a pet peeve of hers may I ad). She spent her days attending to our needs, from helping us with homework to attending school events and social activities, whether they were after school Karate lessons or being out on a wet and cold football pitch on the weekend. Although we are all adults now, she still does this for her Grandchildren!

Last, but not least, we have another in-house Goddiva designer, Krishna Vinod. She has thanked her mum “my best friend, my map that leads to brighter days, my rock through thick and thin. The love and adoration I have for you is ineffable, and the gratitude I have for you is eternal.”

Krishna’s recognition for her mother is immense, she is so grateful that she has shared thanks a million times. “Thank you for singing to me with your nightingale voice for as long as I can remember, inspiring me to be a singer and for being my no.1 fan at all my performances. Thank you for encouraging me to reach for the stars and for staying up all night to help me finish my projects to get there! Thank you for sprinkling your joy, humour and light over my darkest days and for hiding little chocolates in my room or sending me care packages from miles away when I’m sad. Thank you for leading by example and raising me to be a kind, empathetic and strong, independent woman. Thank you for showering your unconditional love and warmth over our family and everyone lucky enough to know you!”

As we celebrate Mother's Day, let us take a moment to appreciate all the amazing mothers out there and the ones who have sadly departed this world. Their unwavering love, patience, and selflessness are the foundation on which we build our lives. They have sacrificed so much to ensure that we have a better future, and for that, we are eternally grateful. To all the mums, grandmothers, and mother figures, thank you for being our guiding light and showing us what it means to love unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day!
